Trivia:
Walt Disney is one of the few steady relationships Gérard has had in the States.  They've produced his films My Father The Hero and Green Card, and at one point he was slated to star in a Disney remake of The Visitors.  Word is, though, that it's Glenn Close who brought Depardieu onto the picture.  She'd been wanting to work with him for years.
