Part I:  A man is picked up walking in the pouring rain with no I.D.

These pics taken from a VHS tape.  Click on thumb-nails for close-ups

Part II:  At the police station, he goes nuts and they have to subdue him

Part III:  The inspector arrives and asks who he is -- man claims to be Onoff, a famous writer, but the inspector doesn't believe him

Part IV:  The man quotes Onoff, proving he is who he says he is; the inspector is impressed -- he's a huge fan

With the inspector (Roman Polanski)

"I didn't recognize you without the beard" -- Onoff doesn't remember shaving it off
