Awards: 6 Ceésar nominations (French Academy Awards) including Best Actor (Depardieu), Best Director (Miller), and Best Actress (Miou-Miou).
Trivia: Three years after Les Valseuses (Going Places), Depardieu and Miou-Miou, who were both made famous by that film, reunite for Dites-lui que je l'aime. It was an anticipated venture (see our press article). This is also the second film Depardieu made with Christian Clavier. Clavier had yet to find his comic niche and plays David's best friend, an obnoxious playboy. Clavier is now one of Depardieu's frequent sidekicks, starring with him in Astérix and Obélix, The Guardian Angels, and Les Misérables.
US/UK Status: Available on VHS in the US. Not available in the UK.
